My brother Mark, his wife Carrie and step-daughter Amy, all participated in this year's Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics! Mark actually "plunged" and Carrie and Amy were in the "Chicken Coop"! The little girl in the photos is Caitlin - it was her team that they were participating on behalf of. A great organization but a crazy fundraiser! The high on the sidelines was 19*F - freaking cold but warmer than the water under the 12" of ice cut away at Chatfield State Park! Mark did great as did all of the participants - the rescue crews were not needed even once!
